FangRong's Cold Drawing and Cutting Machine combines drawing and length cutting in one production unit. The material is drawn through the die and cut to the required length immediately afterward, so operators do not need to move long drawn material to a separate cutting station before producing finished blanks. For factories working with repeated lengths, this can reduce intermediate handling and make better use of available floor space.
This Cold Drawing and Cutting Machine is suited to products supplied as individual pieces rather than long drawn stock. After passing through the drawing die, the material is measured and cut to the programmed length in the same production sequence. Cutting accuracy can reach ±0.5mm under suitable operating conditions, which is useful for components where blank length directly affects the following machining or assembly process.
The integrated layout is commonly used for fastener blanks, shafts and tube fittings. If the material is normally sold or processed in long lengths, however, a separate cutting machine may offer more flexibility. Combining drawing and cutting is most useful when production volume, fixed-length requirements and material handling justify an integrated line.
The FR-16 and FR-25 cover drawing forces from 10 to 50kN, effective strokes up to 7m and material diameters of approximately φ15–φ25mm, depending on configuration. Both models can process 2–4 strands simultaneously.
The FR-16 hydraulic/pneumatic version provides 10kN drawing force with a ZQ400 reducer, 2-inch chain and 7.5kW main motor. The FR-25 saw-cutting version is rated at 50kN and uses a ZQ500 reducer, 2.5-inch chain and 22kW main motor.
Model selection should be based on the actual material, drawing load and required cutting method rather than simply choosing the highest-capacity machine.
Correct cutting length is only one part of finished-part quality. Burrs at the cut end can affect automatic feeding, threading, assembly and subsequent chamfering. FangRong uses high-speed carbide blades together with deburring rollers to help control the condition of the cut end.
Automatic length measurement also reduces repeated manual checking during continuous production, which is useful for high-volume production where consistent blank length is required.
FangRong configures the drawing and cutting functions according to the actual production process rather than treating the cutting unit as a separate add-on. We can match the drawing force, chain system, cutting method and tooling to the customer's material size and finished blank requirements.
For applications requiring straight material before drawing, the machine can be connected with a Straightening Machine. Where the cut pieces require end preparation, a Chamfering Machine can be added after cutting. This allows the equipment layout to fit the customer's existing process without changing the entire production line.
