How the Straightening Process Works

The workpiece enters a series of staggered straightening rollers. Instead of correcting the entire bend in one operation, the rollers apply controlled reverse deformation at successive points along the material. The combined effect gradually brings the profile back toward the required straight condition.

For irregular sections, the position and orientation of each roller are important. A channel, angle, flat bar, or asymmetric profile does not respond to force in the same way as a round bar. Roller spacing, contact position, pressure and alignment are therefore selected according to the section geometry and deformation.

The machine can be arranged for continuous production and can be matched with feeding, measuring, cutting, or other downstream equipment where required.
