For a quotation, FangRong normally needs more than the material name and diameter. Carbon steel with the same nominal size can require different machine configurations because of differences in tensile strength, hardness and initial deformation.

For solid bars, the key information includes diameter, length, material grade, hardness or tensile strength, incoming straightness and required finished straightness. For tubes, outside diameter, wall thickness, material grade, ovality and deformation condition are also important because excessive roller pressure can affect tube geometry.

If several diameters are processed on one production line, the required size range and changeover frequency should also be considered when determining the roller arrangement and machine configuration.

Start with the bar diameter, carbon steel grade, tensile strength or hardness, incoming deformation and required finished straightness. Production speed and bar length should also be considered. Diameter alone is not sufficient for accurate model selection.

What carbon steel sizes can the machine process?

The standard solid-bar range covers approximately φ5–20 mm to φ40–160 mm depending on the FR model. The suitable range for a specific material depends on its mechanical properties and deformation condition.

Can the machine straighten high-strength carbon steel?

Yes, selected models are designed for materials with tensile strength up to 1300 MPa. The FR-130 and FR-160 models are listed for materials up to this range. Actual suitability should be confirmed against the specific steel grade, hardness and workpiece condition.
